Magazine Mosaic
A mosaic is a picture or pattern produced by arranging together small colored pieces of paper in order to form a desired arrangement. Using magazine images, choose and cut out pictures with colors you want. After the pieces are cut, arrange them appropriately and glue them to the paper for a finished product.
Medieval Castle Drawing
After virtually exploring several Medieval Castles throughout Europe, you will create your very own piece of artwork, rendering a castle you saw or one from your imagination. Use various drawing techniques; scumbling, stipling, and shading, to create your piece.
Positive & Negative Space Collage
Positive and Negative space is the juxtaposition between the spaces around and between the subject of an image. Explore the space using various color schemes. Overlay your piece with a paper cut-out, including positive and negative space. Consider the composition, so the eye is drawn around the entire area.
Shattered Glass
Choose a subject. Using contour lines, render your subject with simplified details. Using a desired color scheme, fill each space with crayon or oil pastels.
