Formal Balance-  A successful depiction of formal balance will stress symmetry.  In other words, if the section was divided in two, one side would mirror the other exactly.  Any letter that is duplicated should also be the same color as the other.  You will more than likely need to flip letters as you place them opposite their “match.”  You can flip letters by clicking on “Image” and then selecting either “Flip Layer Horizontal” or “Flip Layer Vertical.”  You can also rotate letters by selecting them using one of your “Marquee,” “Lasso,” or “Magic Wand” tools.  After it is selected, switch to the “Move Tool” and rotate the letter into position.
