A successful depiction of harmony will stress coloration that does not create tension. In other words, harmony gives a sense of peacefulness by using colors that fit a certain color scheme such as warm, cool, or monochromatic. Warm colors are typically red, orange, yellow and any other color that falls between. Cool colors are typically blue, violet, green and any other color that falls between. Monochromatic means “one color.” Therefore, it is one color and any value of that color. For instance, you could color one letter blue, the next navy blue, the next baby blue, the next turquoise, and so on. You must be careful to stick to a color scheme with this principle, otherwise one letter that is incorrectly colored could completely throw off the harmony.
